Don’t get discouraged during interviews. For example, recruiters might ask you: “Aren’t you a bit too old for changing your job?” Don’t bother to answer that one! He’s right, at 30 you’re already quite old for the labour market.
What you can do, however, is to turn this to your favour by pointing to all the expertise you had over the years. List all the pros and cons of taking on a thirty-year-old. Emphasise how this decision is also an investment in the future.
Another very important thing is not to be afraid of rejection: learn to let go a bit and take up the challenges.
Why hold back? It’s time to be daring, because if you let it go on too long, it will become too hard to seriously consider changing your job. 30s are the perfect age to transform your working life.
