The best questions to ask at the end of a job interview

At the end of an interview comes the moment when "Do you want to ask something?" is asked. We take a look at how to answer to this question

“Would you like to ask us something?” When you get to the end of your job interview and the person in front of you asks this question, you might go into panic. “What should I ask?” You probably also have tons of questions, but some are to be avoided so as not to make a bad impression.

In addition to the technical questions to ask during an interview, here are the five questions to ask that will make the interviewer think “I’ve found the right person!”.

Questions to ask during an interview

  • When can I expect to hear back? If no one has talked about time frames, you’re perfectly authorized to ask how long you’ll have to wait before knowing the final verdict. This is the reason why you have not to be in a panic and you’ll know when to get in touch with the interviewer.
  • Can I have your business card? This is a simple question that allows you to leave your contact information and to have a direct line with the person who interviewed you. Obviously, you must not use the number to send text messages or to send nagging questions after the meeting.
  • Who do you consider to be your main competitors? This question demonstrates your interest in company policies and shows that you’re interested in the position and want to excel at it by studying the company’s adversaries to develop successful strategies.
  • Do you have any concerns about my ability to perform this job? Don’t ask this question arrogantly. Ask it with humility, showing that you’re ready to put beyond their doubts. Perhaps the person who interviewed you has some uncertainties regarding your foreign language skills or your familiarity with online platforms. If each of you is sincere, then this problem can be resolved quickly.
  • What qualities are most important to being able to do my job well? Once again, great humility and the desire to learn and improve yourself. That’s what’s hidden within this “trick” question.

The best way to have a great job interview is to always be motivated and ready to begin a new professional adventure.
