Geotechnical / Geo-environmental Engineer - Northampton ENV323 Type: Permanent Sector: Geotechnical Salary: £24,000 – £38,000 plus car + Bens Location: South East Job Description This client a specialist ground investigation consultancy with a reputation for quality, have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical or Geoenvironmental consultant to join their team of experts. There is an opportunity for two additional engineers to their Geoenvironmental Consulting Practice to be based at their Northampton office. This position is to join an existing team of experienced engineers with similar skills and expertise, working on a diverse project portfolio. Additional extensive training will be provided both in house and externally to the right candidate. This is a long term career position and would suit an engineer looking for a significant opportunity to be part of an energetic friendly team of twenty plus people. The salary will depend on experience, but will be competitive and will include car allowance, private health care and pension. Required Skills • First degree in Geology/ Geotechnics/ Civil Engineering. • Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma – Engineering Geology/ Environmental Sciences/Contaminated Land. • Between 2 to 6 years post graduate experience working as an engineer responsible for preparation of factual and interpretative ground investigation reports for a wide range of commercial and residential developments in the United Kingdom. • Experience with current UK Contaminated Land Guidelines and waste soil classifications. • Experience with Contaminated Land remediation techniques. • Experience with foundation design for large multiple storey office and residential developments, together with lightweight structures. • Experience of ground investigation project management and tendering. • Experience and understanding of Slope Stability and Earthworks Design.
