Job Description This position is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking RTL design engineer looking for a fast-paced role employing the latest hardware design and verification methodologies to develop complex and highly configurable hardware IP that sit at the heart of Arm-based Systems! ABOUT SYSTEM IP The System IP team owns the development of a range of advanced Arm IP, like Interconnects/NoCs, MMUs and ISPs used in multiple applications.Our Interconnects and NoCs are designed for intelligent connected systems across a wide range of applications including mobile, IoT, networking infrastructure, automotive etc. The highly scalable IP is optimised for AMBA-compliant SoC connectivity and can be customised for multiple performance points.The initial role is for the Corelink Interconnect IP family, however within the team there are unique career development opportunities as it is easy to pivot and work on different Arm IPs and technologies.What will I be accountable for?As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for one or more functional blocks of the IP while working closely with performance modelling, validation, and implementation teams to meet all functional requirements and performance, power, area (PPA) goals.- Your key accountabilities will involve RTL specifications, design and logic implementation as well as front-end implementation tasks like synthesis, logic equivalence check, and STA- Your involvement in feasibility analysis of suggested architectures and algorithms will be necessary as you will craft microarchitecture specifications in collaboration with other team members- You will work closely with the verification team and you will share the responsibility of delivering high quality hardware designs- Debugging functional or performance issues with the RTL using simulation and debug tools- There will be opportunities for improving our design methodology and mentoring other members of the team  Job Requirements ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - You can demonstrate a strong delivery record of high quality, low power, high performance complex micro-architecture and RTL implementations in reasonable timescales.- You are knowledgeable on ASIC/FPGA design methodology, IP signoff methods with a deep understanding on timing/area/complexity trade-offs for complex data path designs- You have a working knowledge of common on-chip bus protocols such as AMBA- You are able to plan and estimate your own work DESIRABLE SKILLS - Team leadership and mentoring experience- CPU or compute subsystem memory micro-architecture- Experience with any of System Verilog, UVM and formal verification- Knowledge of a scripting language such as Perl, Tcl, C shell === CORE BELIEFS ===At Arm, we are guided by our Core Beliefs that reflect our rare culture and guide our decisions, defining how we work together to defy ordinary and shape extraordinary: WE, NOT I Collaboration first, egos last.- Start with long-term value to customers and partners, and work back from there.- Collaborate, decide, commit, and bring people with you.- Make the most of all the skills and knowledge across Arm; share information with those who need it.- Care about the people around you.
